i live in l.a. county i would like to know if i can take it in myself that is my blackberry (8100) phone and wait for repair to be completed.

You are welcome to come in and drop off the phone to be repaired but normally we would not be able to perform the repair on the spot.  Usually even if the phone is dropped off in person it takes at least 24 hours to repair it.
