Many cell phone repair services provide replacement LCD screens themselves but what about touch screens? The glass on top of my LG Dare is fine and is not cracked at all, but the touch screen surface underneath is has a hairline fracture (I do not know if due to a defect or bad handling on my part) Is there a replacement of this touch screen interface or would I have to buy a new phone?

    Is it worth repairing the old glass lens and touchscreen or is it better to just get a new phone? I believe it is still worth it since the price of the part has gone down.
