Sony Ericsson w600i broken in two parts, pieces
Article Details

Last Updated
3rd o January, 2008

My Sony Ericsson w600i is broken. The two parts have broke apart because the screws were loose. I have all the screws but one I believe. I wanted to know if you were able to fix this and how much it would cost. Also I was confused about the phone backup with your repair. When you fix my phone, my hard drive will be erased? Or is this just an extra that is offered because I do have pics, vids, and music on my phone and I don't know if I should get a back up cd. Thank you for your time. Shawn

Yes this is a common problem with the Sony Ericsson W600i.  The screws get loose and fall due to the vibration from playing the Music MP3 Player.  It is somewhat of a design flaw on this phone.  All you would have to do is click on the link below and purchase the cellphone housing repair service and we'll take care of the rest for you:

The cellphone repair service includes all the labor charges but does not include any parts if necessary.  Once we have completed the full diagnostic of your phone, we normally send you an email update letting you know if any parts are necessary to complete the repair.

As for the Phonebook, Picture, Video, Music Backup.  This is an additional service which we offer to our customers.  Repairing your phone should not effect any of the information in your phone but some people would just like to be safe and it doesn't hurt to have your information backed up just as a precaution every so often.

We hope this was helpful to you and look forward to repairing your cellphone for you.

How much would it cost to get this repaired? Just the 30 dollars it says when you click housing repair or are there additional costs? $29 for the repair service plus parts if any are needed to be replaced. You can find all the parts for your specific phone with prices by simply typing your cell phone model number into the search on the website.
