Nokia 7370 Ran through Washing Machine
Article Details

Last Updated

I have a Nokia 7370 which accidently ran through the washing machine.
Can it be fixed? please let me know. Thanks

We do work on water damaged phones.

Liquid is like a cancer to the phone. The particles and minerals in the liquid start to eat away at the components of the phone and this results in all kinds of problems and symptoms with the phone.

As soon as you get any liquid on your phone, immediately remove the battery and send the phone to us.  Resist the urge to put the battery back in or plugging in the charger to the phone to see if it works.  The sooner you get the phone to us the better chance of us being able to fix your phone and saving the precious data such as phonebook, pictures, videos etc... that is stored in the phone.  Do NOT under any circumstances put the battery back in the phone or plug it into the charger.

Most times after a phone has been exposed to liquid it will still continue to work for a short time.  But by you inserting the battery in the phone and powering it on you run the risk of burning out the many small circuit boards and components inside the phone and permanently damaging the phone.
