Razr Caller ID Lens Replacement
Article Details

Last Updated

Interested in replacing a cracked caller ID lens in Razr phone. Elecronically fairly handy, how difficult is this replacement.  LCD is fine just cracked glass.  Caller ID Lens & Lens Gasket for Motorola V3c & V3m Razr Product ID: 6171833B01-3271952C01.

You will basically have to remove the old lens which is held on there with adhesive.  You might be able to pry it off without taking the phone apart but be very careful not to damage the Caller ID LCD Screen.  Other wise you will need to remove the faceplate and carefully pry it off the LCD Screen.  It is held onto the Caller ID Screen with strong adhesive.  Hope this helps.  Here is the link for the part:

I need to replace the glass lens on my razor as well. I have read the postings on this task, and was wondering, after prying off the cracked glass, what kind of adhesive do I use to put in the new glass lens? thank you, cheryl Usually the lens comes with the adhesive on it and all you do is remove the old adhesive and clean the area and put the new one on.
