You answered my last e-mail and what the diagnostic cost and repair would be but I need to know can you diagnose the weak signal without service being on the phone. When I couldn't place a call with this phone due to the weak signal, I purchased the next generation LG phone.....I think VX 8000.  So my question to you is can you try and solve the weak signal problem without service being on the phone? Thank you for answering so quickly.........I appreciate that.

Yes we can.  We do not need your phone to be active to perform a diagnostic service and figure out the problem.  We have equipment that will simulate a cell-phone tower and test the phone signal capabilities.
