Hi there.  I did a search on the web and found that you guys seem to really know what you are doing when it comes to PDA’s such as the Blackberry 7100t.

This is my question or the help I need.  I own a Blackberry 7100 series unit.  It is serviced presently by T-Mobile.  I have replaced it with a new Blackberry 8830 from Verizon and I want to convert all my info from one unit to the other.  The problem is that most of my data is not on the smart card of the 7100 unit…but rather on the mother board memory.

Why is this a problem?   Because the port/adapter in the phone used to connect a cable to both download data and power the battery broke off about 30 days ago and there is a hole in my PDA. My data is stranded effectively…but I want to get it back.  Can you help?  If I sent you the PDA, would you be able to retrieve the data directly from the mother board (mostly contacts is all I care about) and then put it on a disk that I can upload through my laptop on to my new Blackberry?  If you cannot, is there someone you might recommend who can do this.  This info is very critical and will likely take me hours to replicate if I have to do so by hand/manually. Your help is appreciated.  Jonathan

Hi Jonathan.  I'm sorry that you are going through this hassle.  Getting the data out is possible but the only way to get it out is through the mini USB on the phone.  Obviously yours is broken and has to be repaired first before we can extract the information.  I recommend purchasing our PDA Cell Phone Charge Port Repair Service and sending your phone to us for repair.  When purchasing this service you will also see a drop down list with options on Phonebook and Data Backup options.  Feel free to choose any of them that suits you.  Here is the link for this service:

Please know that if we are unsuccessful in extracting the data for you you will be refunded for the information extraction and will only have paid for the Bad Charge Port Repair Service.

I hope this is helpful to you and look forward to receiving your phone.
