Samsung T629 Water Damage Repair
Article Details

Last Updated

HELLO.  MY CELL PHONE IS A SAMSUNG SGH-T629 AND I DROPPED IT  IN THE WATER.  WHEN I DRIED IT FIRST IT WAS WORKING, BUT AFTER THAT IT STOPPED WORKING.  WHEN I PUT THE BATTERY IN IT TURNS ON BY ITSELF.  LET ME CALL OUT AND THE NEXT DAYS WILL NOT LET ME DO ANY THING AND IT FREEZES.  SO I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU GUYS CAN REPAIR THAT OR NOT, BEFORE I SEND TO U AND BUY ALL THE PARTS.???

Yes we do repair liquid damaged phones.  Please read below:

Liquid is like a cancer to the cellphone. The particles and minerals in the liquid start to eat away at the components of the cellphone and this results in all kinds of problems and symptoms with the cellphone.

As soon as you get any liquid on your cellphone, immediately remove the battery and send the phone to us.  Resist the urge to put the battery back in or to plug it into the charger to see if the cellphone still works.  The sooner you get the cellphone to us the better chance of us being able to fix your cellphone and saving the precious data such as phone book, pictures, videos etc... that is stored in the cellphone.  Do NOT under any circumstances put the battery back in the cellphone or plug it into the charger.

Most times after a cellphone has been exposed to liquid it will still continue to work for a short time.  But by inserting the battery in the cellphone and powering it on you run the risk of burning out the many small circuit boards and components inside the cellphone and permanently damaging it.
